1 Season, 1 Cup won, 1 Promotion Achieved
We achieved Promotion on sunday gone with a comfortable 3 - 0 win, its a great achievement from the players in their first every season, and silverware was also granted when we won the division 4 shield. Overall it has been an unbelievable year for the club and we look forward to playing some local derby's next season in Division 3. Our slim chances of still winning the league mean that nothing but a victory this weekend against our rivals Slieveardagh will do as Dualla dont have a fixture for the next 2 weeks. We also still have the next round of the Tipp Cup to look forward to in the coming weeks.
Promotion
Although it fair to say it has been a hard week in terms of getting over the poor result last weekend, this weekend offers us the chance to get promoted which would b a fantastic achievement for a newly formed club, game kicks off at 3 in littleton. Best of luck to all the lads.
Big Step Towards Promotion
Our last two wins have moved us to top of the league and kept us in the mix for promotion. Next up is the visit of Dualla who lie just a single point behind us in the league. Our last game against Dualla saw us come away licking our wounds after a miserable result and performance, since then both teams have remained unbeaten in the league. Its looking like we will be full strength for the first time all season for this game and with the lads having a point to prove this should be an interesting game. Our shield final win came against Dualla and if can get a result this sunday it will be a massive step towards promotion.
3 Hard Fought pts Today!
Against a very much improved Cullan Lattin team that on this showing dont deserve to be fighting relegation we secured a vital win, Against what some people might say as a 12th man today! The lads showed fantastic greet and determination to come away with a solid victory. Sendings off that the club will be taking further and if needs be to the TSDL over the decision making today which could of cost us a chance of winning a League!
Two Big Weekends
The next 2 weekends will be massive in the history of our newly set up club with away trips to Cullan Lattin and Two Mile Borris, 2 wins will see us up to 28 points in the table and keep the pressure on those around us fighting for promotion. Steven and the lads have done fantastic so far and we wish them the best of luck over the coming weeks.
New Signings
we would like to welcome our 5 new signings to the club, Alan Sweeney, Dean O Mahoney, Craig Carrigan, Thomas o Mahoney and Aron Cowan all local lads, hopefully these lads can help give us an extra push towards the promotion from division 4 this season and we wish all of you the best of luck.
Next
Game!
Our next two games will tell us a lot about where will will finish in the league this year and lets hope that 2 wins will keep us in the battle for promotion. Bansha and Peake Villa will be travelling down to Ardfinnan and after these games the league will become a lot clearly as to standings wise. Hopefully after two poor results we can get back on track and show the form that we had at the start of the season, We have been missing a number of players over the last few weeks through work and other commitments so we are hopeing for a good turn out over the nest two weeks.
St.
Stevens Day Game!
We would like to thank everyone involved in the successful funraising game played on St. Stevens day fot the clogheen hospice in which we raised 600. The game itself was a memorable occasion with ourselves beating the older generation on penilities. Lets hope this can become a yearly event on the calendar.
Last Man
Standing!
Winner of our last man is Darren Sweeney, with 6 out of the 7 remaining going into the weekends games going for either West Brom or Swansea he
wins with Spurs 2 - 1 results over Sunderland
Winning
Run!
Sundays win against Two Mile Borris now sees us unbeaten in the last 7 with 5 wins and 2 draws. Next up in Dualla this sunday where we return to the pitch that we achieved out first silverware as a club, lets hoope the lads can keep this good form up and we come away with all 3 points to keep us in the hunt for promotion. Also we would like to congratulate fellow Ardfinnan man Paul Kennedy on Sunday victory in the Champions Trophy in which he scored one and set up another.

there kind gesture of ringing secretary Fergus Nugent last night to give an
interview on air about how the club has been formed and the work that has
already been done. Fergus spoke very well and hopefully it will help
publicised the club more. It costs a huge amount of money to run this club
and all sponsorship and donations would be greatly apprriciated. Also this
weekend the lads are playing Slieveradagh at home in the league, if the last
game against this opposition is anything to go by then we can expect a tough
game that will go write to the end. Once again we would ask all that are around

History Made!!
On sunday the 13th of October in Dualla we made history by winning our first bit of silverware and hopefully not our last with a well deserved 1 - 0 victory over a competitive Dualla team. The club has come a long way in a very short time and along with the manager, players and all the work that is been put in behind the seens with fundraisers and maintaining the pitch all the way to handling the finances this victory shows that its all worth it in the end. Congratulations to everyone involved with the club.
Shield Final
On Sunday the 13th the club will take part in its first final when we face Dualla in the final of the Shield, The path to this final has not been an easy one with the first game against Slieveardagh the hardest fixture we could have possibly got and the semi against Peake Villa that went all the way to penilties. Dualla are unbeaten in the league also this season so its fitting that both teams meet in the final. We hope that we can get as much support as possible at the game as its the first bit of history we can make for this newly formed club that has come along way in the last 3 months. A special thanks to Keith Savage for making what are the most level, perfectly welded goals in the league. Cheers Savo its very much appreciated....
Great Start
In our first competitive game as a club we defeated a very strong Silvderagh side who played in Division 1 last season. A great competitive game with both sides looking to impress on there first outings of the season. To the lads credit it was probly the hardest opening fixture they could have wished for and came through with a well earned victory to move to the semi final stage of the fourth division shield. well done lads! Check out match report..

Pitch
work on the pitch has finally started today 2nd of august. Jason Coffey, Thomas o Donnell and James o Donnell will be looking after the pitch for the season and we would like to thank them for offering in which in sure to be a very time consuming job. the plan for the pitch this week is to roll it and get a first cut. We would also like to thank Brendon Cowan who has generously offered to help us line the pitch for the first time as not many in the club know how. As for the season ahead Thomas and James will be cutting the grass and Jason will line it for the year. pictures will also be added soon.
We have to also remember that this is the first time this land will have been used for anything else bar farming so we canT be expecting to be playing on a surface like old trafford, we hope in time though that the surface will come good and the 3 lads will do there very best to make this happen.
Pre - Season
Our first game as a club takes place today july 12 in ferryhouse, Clonmel Town B will be the opposition and also will be providing us with a set of jerseys as ours have not arrived yet. we would like to thank clonmel town for this as without jerseys a game could not take place. numbers at training so far have been very impressive and we wish the lads the best of luck tomorrow night.
