Pre-Season
On the pitch the boys had an encouraging pre-season. We showed in all our pre-season games that if we produce what we know we can then we will be more than capable of competing in the 3rd division for the season. With the majority of last season's squad and some new faces there is major competition for places in the team. The club took part in the McGrath Cup pre season tournament hosted by Vee Rovers and were in a group with Clerihan and Clonmel Town B. We beat Clerihan 3-2 in our opening game before an impressive 4-3 victory over Clonmel Town B saw us advance to the final. We took on the hosts, Vee Rovers, in that final and after a very competitive game we came out on top to bring more silverware to the club. We also defeated Tipp Town B in a friendly before a defeat to Clonmel Celtic B in a charity match. Our pre-season ended with a 4-3 defeat to premier division side Clonmel Celtic A. A competitive pre season had us entering the season in a confident mood.
2014/15 Season Preparations
After laying the foundations with a successful first season, the club had the Summer to ensure we are in a position to build upon last season. As a result of a lot hard work we have expanded the number of members we have and brought in some new committee members. After negotiations with the Grange Community we have successfully moved to a new pitch in Grange. Finally, we also have a new management team in place for the upcoming season and the club wishes both them and the players the very best of luck for the upcoming season.
